Aim
The main objective of the project task subject is to provide students with experience and practice in solving a complex engineering task at a team level. The aim of the course is to make students aware of how to work in a coordinated way in a team, so that they have this kind of experience at the beginning of their work after graduating from university. Students work in teams of 4-5 people on projects offered by the Department.
Learning outcomes
Competences that can be acquired by completing the course
Knowledge
He knows the efficient way of work organization and work schedule. He is aware of the steps and tools of task development. Informed on how to process the relevant literature. Knows the appropriate forms of oral and written communication. He has the IT skills needed to solve the task. Knows how to synthesize and use information learned from different subjects. He has a basic knowledge of the process and tools of making a presentation. Correctly understands the results achieved in this topic. He compares the results of his work with the available literature. He has the professional knowledge needed to solve the task.
Ability
Able to organize work efficiently and schedule work hours. Able to formulate his / her tasks, to assign tools to achieve each goal. Use the literature and resources of the field of the task. During the task, he communicates orally and in writing on both professional and organizational issues. Use your existing IT knowledge to solve the problem. Apply the most important terminology and theories of the technical field in the well-defined task assigned to him. Able to give a presentation on the progress of the task and the results. In the summary of the task, he concludes the usability and importance of the results. It analyzes the differences and similarities between its own results and the results found in the literature. It solves the professional task in the call correctly.
Attitude
He constantly monitors his work, results and conclusions. Applying the acquired technical knowledge, he strives to get to know the phenomena and to explain their laws. Open to the use of information technology tools. It seeks to enforce the principles of energy efficiency and environmental awareness. It develops your ability to provide accurate and error-free problem solving, engineering precision and accuracy. He publishes his results in accordance with the rules of the profession.
Independence and responsibility
Collaborates with the instructor to expand knowledge. He openly accepts well-founded professional and other critical remarks. In some situations, as part of a team, you work with your fellow students to solve tasks. With his knowledge, he makes a responsible, informed decision based on his analyzes. It independently thinks through tasks and problems and solves them based on the given resources. He is committed to the principles and methods of systematic thinking and problem solving.
Teaching methodology
During the teaching of the subject, the student works independently on the chosen task under the guidance of his / her instructor. This requires effective oral and written communication with your supervisor. Due to the different depths of the nature of the tasks, the use of IT tools and techniques is required for each task at different depths. At the end of the task, the student summarizes the most important steps of his / her work in the form of a poster. In addition, he gives an oral presentation in which the use of modern presentation techniques is essential. As the time schedule of the task is not obligatory, the student, with the help of the supervisor, has to determine the cornerstones of the work and the internal deadlines that can be attached to them.

| End of validity: | 2028. June 30. |
General rules
The student work carried out during the semester is summarized by the given project group in a written documentation, which is handed over to the head of the department for evaluation. The content of the written documentation will be presented to the departmental working community by the project participants in the form of a mandatory presentation. For at least a sufficient value of a mid-term ticket, it is necessary for a given student to be an active participant in the project task.
Assessment methods
Detailed description of mid-term assessments
| Mid-term assessment No. 1 | ||
| Type: | formative assessment, point-in-time personal act | |
| Number: | 1 | |
| Purpose, description: | The project work and engineering work prepared during the semester must be presented to the other students and the departmental working audience in the form of a compulsory lecture. During the lecture, each student is obliged to present in detail the work he / she has done. Students also have the opportunity to demonstrate the completed task. The content of the presentation should be in accordance with the prepared written documentation. | |
| Mid-term assessment No. 2 | ||
| Type: | formative assessment, project-based, complex | |
| Number: | 1 | |
| Purpose, description: | Students are available to complete the project assignment for the entire semester. Minutes of the tasks performed are kept on a regular basis, with a precise indication of the subtasks performed and planned. Written documentation of the entire project assignment should be prepared, which includes the objectives set and presents the entire planning process, indicating the tasks performed by the students involved in the work. | |
Detailed description of assessments performed during the examination period
The subject does not include assessment during the examination period.
The weight of mid-term assessments in signing or in final grading
| ID | Proportion |
|---|---|
| Mid-term assessment No. 1 | 50 % |
| Mid-term assessment No. 2 | 50 % |
The weight of partial exams in grade
There is no exam belongs to the subject.
Determination of the grade
| Grade | ECTS | The grade expressed in percents |
|---|---|---|
| very good (5) | Excellent [A] | above 90 % |
| very good (5) | Very Good [B] | 85 % - 90 % |
| good (4) | Good [C] | 70 % - 85 % |
